Ficha de arte: La torre Eiffel (Seurat).

The Eiffel Tower is an oil painting on panel in 1889 by the French painter Georges Pierre Seurat (which fascinated this work), which is preserved in the Young Memorial Museum in San Francisco, United States. The work is painted using the pointillist technique.
It should be remembered that 1889 was the year of the Universal Exhibition in Paris, where the main attraction was definitely the tower built by engineer Gustave Eiffel. The picture, of small dimensions, shows the Eiffel tower still under construction, not the top floor. Other painters of the period, such as Camille Pissarro, dissatisfied with the construction of the monument of metal boycotted it directly not representing.
